frequently asked questions

 what if I’m a vegetarian?

Each week we include one fish or vegetarian meal plan. However, we are currently considering a service for vegetarians and will keep you updated on developments.

what if I’m not keen on one of the recipes or meal
 plans?

One of the benefits of the service is that you and your family/partner can try some different recipes, so please give it a go! However if you really don’t fancy one of the meal plans then delete the ingredients from your shopping list, but please bear in mind that we can’t offer replacement meal plans in these circumstances.

I prefer to buy organic produce – can you
 accommodate this?

Yes! Our shopping list isn’t specific to any brand or shop so you can choose ingredients in line with your normal shopping habits.

what if I try a recipe and really don’t like it?

Please let us know - tell us what you didn’t like about it.

what about perishable foods, particularly fish and
 salad?

Obviously, it’s recommended that perishable foods are used soon after they are bought. So, for example, if we send you your shopping list on a Tuesday and one of the selected recipes is for prawn stir-fry, we would recommend that you cook it on Tuesday or Wednesday (unless, of course, you choose to buy frozen prawns). If that doesn’t suit your week you can always buy the perishable ingredients later in the week and use the meal plan then.

I’m trying to give my family low-fat meals - can you
 accommodate this?

Generally yes. The shopping list for our recipes will include generic ingredients, which means that you can choose to buy low-fat options, where they are available. So, for example, if a recipe specifies sausages, you can choose low-fat sausages from your supermarket or butcher. As you probably know, most supermarkets carry a very wide range of low-fat alternatives, so you should be able to prepare most recipes using low-fat ingredients.
