 quick-cook meals

These meals can be ready to eat in 45 minutes or less, and are ideal for weekday evenings when time is in short supply. Many of these meals will include pasta, rice, noodles or breads.

 slow-cook meals

These meals require a bit more preparation or cooking time and might include casseroles, roasts or baked dishes. Most of these will be ready in less than 2 hours (although some casseroles may have longer cooking times) and are ideal for times when you can do some preparation and perhaps the cooking during the day, and just reheat at dinnertime. Alternatively these can be great for weekend lunches or dinners when there may be a bit more time (or help!) available.

 puddings/desserts

These recipes are for simple but delicious puddings and desserts. Sometimes they will be rich and indulgent, but most of the time they will use fresh, seasonal fruit – either way, they will be easy to prepare and taste great.

 snacks

These recipes are ideal for a light supper or lunch – it might be a healthy salad, a tasty soup or sandwich, or something cheesy and toasted. We will also include suggestions for packed lunches wherever possible.

 cooking ahead

From time to time we will include a specific recipe (and ingredients) which is ideal for cooking ahead. That means we’ll give you the option to buy double the ingredients for a recipe which is particularly suitable for freezing. That way, in only a little more time than it takes to cook one meal, you have prepared the basis for two – which is always good news in a busy household.
